This honey label project combines my background in graphic design and art direction with my love of natural history illustration. The label features a detailed hand-drawn honey bee, created for a fictional apiary inspired by honey produced by a real beekeeper named Stuart.
The project explores how wildlife illustration can work beyond books and prints, becoming part of packaging, branding and other forms of applied design. The bee illustration was developed with the scale, character and visual requirements of a food label in mind, creating a simple but distinctive identity for the fictional honey brand.
