I was delighted to create a bespoke biodiversity banner for Sligo County Council, designed to support and highlight the council’s ongoing biodiversity initiatives. This illustrated banner will accompany a range of environmental actions led by the council’s biodiversity group, helping to bring visibility and cohesion to their important work.
The artwork was also featured in the newly launched County Sligo Biodiversity Action Plan 2025–2030, unveiled on 8 December 2025. It was an honour not only to contribute to a project with such meaningful impact, but also to make my first-ever trip to Sligo to celebrate the launch in person.
The illustration showcases a blend of iconic Sligo landscape and local wildlife, including Benbulben mountain, a brown long-eared bat, a marsh fritillary butterfly, a swift, a humpback whale, an Arctic tern, a Greenland white-fronted goose, a lamprey, grasslands and oak leaves.
